Mammootty-starred ‘Bramayugam’ continues its successful run amidst a new release. The film directed by Rahul Sadasivan, which earned a net collection of Rs 3.31 crore from India on the opening day, February 15, has minted Rs 50 lakh by the end of its 14th day, Wednesday, February 28, according to a report by Sacnilk.
In its first 13 days, Bramayugam showcased a commendable performance, accumulating an estimated Rs 23.50 crore in net collections from India.
The film’s journey began on a strong note, with a gross of Rs. 3.1 crore on its opening day, followed by a notable Rs. 17.85 crore during its first week. The next week saw a steady flow of earnings, culminating in a net collection of Rs 24 crore on Day 14 from India. Bramayugam’s 14th day saw a Malayalam occupancy of 15.59%, indicating the strong interest of the audience in the movie. It is worth noting that last week, on February 22, a new film ‘Manjummel Boys’ hit the cinemas. The film directed by Chidambaram has turned into a blockbuster for its riveting plot. However, ‘Bramayugam’ has continued to sustain screens in major centres.
With a global collection of Rs 52.2 crore, including an impressive India net of Rs 24.13 crore, India gross of Rs 28.2 crore, and overseas earnings of Rs 24 crore, the film has emerged as a blockbuster already.
Starring Mammootty, ‘Bramayugam’ also has actors Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R Achari in pivotal roles. The entire film was shot in black and white format.
