GATE 2024 Results: The results of ‘Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2024’ conducted for admission to M.Tech and PhD courses in prestigious educational institutions including IITs will be released on March 16. It is known that IISC Bangalore conducted the GATE exams in 200 cities across the country on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The answer key for the exam will be released soon. Apart from national level educational institutes, many central government organizations conduct interviews and provide job opportunities based on GATE scores.
Through GATE, admissions are provided in degree and PhD courses in 7 IITs across the country (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and other government educational institutions. Other private universities and institutes also use GATE scores as a standard for admissions. Some government institutions also provide job opportunities based on GATE scores.
On February 16, the candidates’ response sheets for the exam will be released, and the answer key will be released on February 21. From February 22 to 25, candidates will receive objections to the answer key after that. The GATE results will be announced on March 16. Candidates can download GATE scorecards from March 23. It is known that the IISC has already released the admit cards for the GATE exam. Hall tickets are available from January 3. Can be downloaded until the exam day.
Test Procedure…
- GATE exam will be conducted in total 30 subjects. Apart from all the major cities of the country, the GATE exam was also conducted in the cities of other countries.
- GATE exams will be conducted in two sessions (9:30 am – 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm.) on the announced dates. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- GATE exam conducted in online mode will have 65 questions of 100 marks. 15 marks for 10 questions from General Aptitude; 55 questions from technical, engineering and mathematics sections will carry 85 marks.
- There are also negative marks. 1/3 for each wrong answer for 1 mark questions and 2/3 for each wrong answer for 2 mark questions.
Exam for 30 subjects…
The examination was conducted in about 200 cities and towns across the country. Based on the score obtained in GATE, the central government sector organizations conduct interviews and select candidates for the jobs. It is known that exams are being conducted in total of 29 question papers in ‘GATE’ so far. But this time, a new question paper covering Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) will be introduced. With this, the total number of papers in the GATE exam has reached 30.
